We dedicated three whole years to considering various options for the site. Thinking inside and outside the box, but never compromising on standards. Throughout, we pursued one aim:
to transform Bötzow so that it would make a powerful statement in the heart of the city and be a shining example of how urban industrial architecture can be successfully revitalised. The resulting master plan, developed by the renowned David Chipperfield Architects team, provides a detailed outlook of how the site will look in future. In terms of urban planning, the original idea was to combine work and leisure, public and private. In this project, the big challenge facing David Chipperfield and his team was to unite the familiar with the unseen, and to preserve the aura of the former Bötzow Brewery whilst breathing the glow of a genuinely new life into it.
